It turns out that a professor here in the CS Department (the one who became very interested in my sequences), is doing a special topics course on Automata Theory this Fall. He told me to sign up for the class and I could do the research I've wanted to do, but haven't gotten around to it, on my sequences, and write a paper. Hopefully, the class won't get canceled for any reason, since this will be a great opportunity to research these strange phenomena and get something positive out of it.By the way, have any of you seen Stephen Wolfram's new book, "A New Kind of Science" that just came out recently? The subject matter is very closely related to what I've done here. In fact, it's a particular phenomenon that occurs when the automaton rules are set up the right way. ------------------ Evans A Criswell Huntsville-Decatur Movie Theatre Information Site
