porn = comedy

...really, I can't be the only one who has laughed watching some of the ridiculousness in "adult entertainment"...

Classic porn is one of my guilty pleasures- the real 35mm movies are like "Citizen Kane" though compared to the current shot-on-video crap.

How can I not respond when the topic is porno?

quote:
A double feature of Deep Throat and All The President's Men???

I guess since Woodward and Bernstein's contact was known as Deep Throat, they figured they'd have some fun with it.

It reminds me of Andrew Fleming's movie Dick. There's a part where Kirsten Dunst's brother is caught and grounded for watching Deep Throat. So Kirsten Dunst and Michelle Williams use the title of the film as their code name when they contact the Washington Post. For those of you who were trying to forget the movie existed, I apologize.

As for porno = comedy, it's funny you should say that Gracia, because I know the actress Alicia Witt feels the same way. She says she enjoys watching it for a laugh.

Just got back from a screening of Ron Jeremy's movie Porn Star, it was quite fun. AT the Q and A session after the movie, he was quite approachable, a really nice guy. From his comments and such, I take it that he misses the old days of film where there was plot, but he says no one really cares about plot anyways.

Can't say that I know who Alicia Witt is.
