Thank God Film-Tech has gone digital! I was getting so tired of waiting for those analogue vaccum tubes to warm up every time I checked in.

I'm building my own DLP at home. I'm in the process of getting all the mirrors I need. If anyone wants to donate some, I sure could use them. I've got 5 so far.

...so these DLP projectors use tiny mirrors eh? So if I smash one up with a really really big hammer till there are even tinier little bits of mirror, will I get improved resolution?!

I think that this is nothing but a conspiricy!! Chief Miller is digitally altering all of our analog posts so that he can use the originals for some diabolical plot that he has secretly hidden away somewhere on this site. Dont be surprised if BIZARRO Film-Tech suddenly pops up on you!! Be afraid....

Oops. I just blew another 6L6G tube... I'll end this here. Miller has digitally interfaced with my tubes, er, computer, and is causing negative ion flows and overloads. Please! Let Me LIVE!!!! :O

I just love it that the word "digital" is in HUGE letters.

No, but you would get 1280 X 1024 X 7 years of bad luck.
That's 9,175,040 years. I think that's like an epoch of bad luck.

Digitalis.
Look up a digital botany encyclopaedia. Its a plant and is toxic if memory serves.
Why is digital Crap?
Because the world is analogue as wel as discrete. Digital is a model of reality sliced into (in)convenient bits.
Colours exist in a continuous spectrum. Sounds are produced along a spectrum using mulltiple harmonics many of which are felt rather than heard.
Digital does allow signals to be cleaned from noise, but I live in a dirt filled world and clean rooms make me unwell.
Bring back analogue. It was all so much richer back then. Music was rich and emotional, colours had depth, shapes had shape, edges were sharp , curves were curved...... I could see form side to side and pixels were somebody elses nightmare
