Receive one brand new print and the new print that had to be sent back for a trailer attachment#2 Brad Carroll will reply to my email... B. With a response that doesn't actually accomplish a change in this kind of ridiculous shipping practice. #3 The shipping charges for all of this unnecessary shipping will be... B. Covered by Technicolor/Miramax #4 The newly attached trailer (regardless of which prints are received) will be... A. Attached with a poorly made splice that must be redone #5 The prints will come with... B. Reel bands on all reels, but only some are usable without tape C. Labels placed over the string catch on the reel bands, creating unnecessary aggravation
#6 The reels will... B. Some in good condition, some broken or not clipped together properly. #7 The print cans will... B. Have the dts discs enclosed. #8 The condition of the cans will be... B. Reasonably decent condition, good enough to ship film in.

Allright, I gave Brad Carroll from Technicolor a full FIVE DAYS to reply. Clearly he doesn't give a shit. (And I don't want to hear any tender political bs about it either, his lack of response proves this!)
I know everyone has been waiting, so here are the final answers.
#1 The theater is booked to play 2 prints of Frida on Friday. Come Thursday the theater will...
A. Receive two brand new prints Note should be made the theater was scheduled as of Tue evening to receive two circuited screening prints “no earlier than 1:30PM on Friday” and I had to raise a bit of hell, which may (or may not) have affected the final outcome.
#2 Brad Carroll will reply to my email...
E. Never. Does this really surprise anyone? It should be noted that I did BCC the original email to a few forum members should anyone even think of accusing me that I never sent the email. What is this guy’s job again? Apparently it is not to help people.
#3 The shipping charges for all of this unnecessary shipping will be...
A. Billed to the theater. Of course! Duh.
#4 The newly attached trailer (regardless of which prints are received) will be...
A. Attached with a poorly made splice that must be redone B. Attached with cheap splicing tape that should be outlawed C. Made with a splicer that has taken a few dozen too many falls off of the table (aka: out of alignment) K. Scratched or damaged in some manner The trailers were playable, but there were marks on the beginning and end. Not quite bad enough to reject playing them, but not pristine either. Someone needs to go to film handling and splicing school.
#5 The prints will come with...
E. No reel bands, but properly taped down on some of the reels. G. No reel bands and NOT securely fastened on some of the reels. This speaks for itself. Again, these were brand new prints being sent out without reel bands. (The TES rep I called verified there was no past history on these two prints, so no these did not come from changeover houses.)
#6 The reels will...
B. Some in good condition, some broken or not clipped together properly. Actually, this batch of reels were “better than normal” for TES prints.
#7 The print cans will...
B. Have the dts discs enclosed. Since these turned out to be new this doesn’t surprise me. Now if they had been the used circuited prints, the discs may not have been in there.
#8 The condition of the cans will be...
B. Reasonably decent condition, good enough to ship film in. They weren’t great, but they were good enough. Dirty yes, but not terrible.
And the results are... Joe Beres +1 Paul G. Thompson -3 Scott Norwood 0 Dwayne Caldwell -8 Daryl C. W. O'Shea +3 Darryl Spicer +1 Sean McKinnon -9 Jacob Huber -1 Richard Miller -1 Daniel Boisson 0 Jennifer Osborne +1 Thomas Procyk -4 Darren Crimmins -1 John T. Hendrickson Jr. -1 John Lasher -6
Congrats to for pegging TES better than anyone else here. (Oh the shame, Sean! )
(If anyone would like to double check my calculations, please do. I did this rather quickly.
