Mark, I was yelling at a herd of cows milling around aimlessly in the room to be seated so we could get our live broadcast underweigh.

I just booked.

Hotel prices are up this year. There is a NASCAR event that week in Las Vegas as well. I got Bally's for $110 per night through Hotels.com. It's up over last year but still beats renting a car. [sleep]

See you at the Film-Tech [beer] .

Do you normally book so early?

I could never book this early. With how work intensity fluctuates, it would be near impossible to commit to going to a show without knowing what other deadlines I'll have to meet.

I got my reservations set at the Bourbon Street Hotel. Seems as though it was around 50 bucks a night or so. I forgot the exact price. It was cheaper than Super 8 Motel... [Smile]

AS for booking rooms here, it may a bit out of the way but if you are looking to save a buck, try some of the "locals" casino hotels. Those guys are not on the strip and they do not charge as much. My sister came into town last week and had a room at Sunset Station for only $29 a night and it was still better than one of those "budget" hotels. Most of the Station properties run those rates except the one where my theatre is at. That casino is a little more posh than the other Station sites. We have quite a few celebrities staying at the hotel at various times and they will come down to watch movies in our private VIP rooms.

If anybody is interested, I will do some research on the rates of the Station locations during ShoWest since I talk to the hotel and casino management on a daily basis. Just let me know and I will post it and phone numbers to contact them.

Not sure when Showest is, but right now rooms are CHEAP. Comdex 2002 was a pretty big disappointment. 2 years ago you couldn't find a room in town, even the hooker motels were going for over $100/night
This year, all the hotels had rooms available, most under $50

If there's a NASCAR event going on, you can bet on the Saharah being sold out though.
