Brad Miller Administrator Posts: 17775 From: Plano, TX (36.2 miles NW of Rockwall) Registered: May 99 posted 02-26-2003 07:09 PM                     Lionel, I chose the 4675 because it is the best sounding speaker on the market that would possibly fit in the room. (The 5674 just wouldn't fit! ) I've never cared for the 3000 line. They just don't sound as good and the LF is lacking with only the one woofer. Even in a small commercial theater I will put in the 4675s. I don't like to strain for output and the 4675 fits the bill for just about everything with a 40 foot or smaller screen. Couple that with a bunch of QSC amps overspec'd for the room and the end result is a nice system that never, ever has to work hard to be able to take people's heads off when the need arises. Jean-Michel, as Ian said the screening room is in my home. I drove the builders nuts with all of my requirements for the room and I was able to achieve *most* of them, but city code and what the builders were willing to do prevented a few things (including my preferred booth wall). In regards to the electrical, it will pass under any commercial building requirement. I figure if I wired it for commercial code, no one would complain. Steve, the 5671? Not only is it well thought-out and engineered, it's located in a separate "wing" of his house so as not to disturb the other living areas. I must confess, I am guilty of violating one of the 10 commandments... the one about not coveting thy neighbor's goods... Oh, and Bob, W(ho)TF is Alex Cahill?
