I too never cease to be amazed by the fact that a lot of people think that films in cinemas are played from video or DVD. OK, not everybody has to be into the details of film like we are on this website, but it is so obvious!
Another amazing observation I often make is that many people don`t realise that there are various aspect ratios and that the image is in some cases wider than in others. Here we always have flat commercials before the feature, so people should really see that the image gets "bigger" for the scope feature. But a lot of them simply don`t. I often wonder what they actually see or hear.

Funny thing is that a few years ago, customers expected the projectors to run like a VCR and now they think they run like DVD's. I wonder what the next big format is going to be?

Someone asked me if I could start a movie over the other day because they were 2 minutes late for the movie and missed the opening studio logo. I just said "No" with a blank look on my face. She then said "Really? You can't?" Again I just replied with "No."
