American spellings may slide off the oesophagus more easily as well. Ivst as people ivmped for ioy when "j" and "u" were added, Americans accepted the new spellings although British people may have passed judgement on them, making them the centre of attention. The British saw their spellings as polished, like aluminium, and still use them today, in favour of the American analogues.  |  IP: Logged Mark J. When someone puts punctuation, the next person needs to work around it, not ignore it. A period means the END of the sentence.
