Your account beats that of the Chamber of Commerce! We people on the coasts know about seafaring in the oceans but sometimes are surprised to see the extent of shipbuilding and big ship transport along the shores of the Great Lakes and its river estuaries. I went through a WW German submarine in Chicago, (probably at the Field Museum,) and there's a US one dockside next to the Queen Mary in Los Angeles. Manitowoc sounds like a most interesting place. Don works every monday night and I work Monday Matinee...you could of either caught us in the crosshairs or maybe even when I was over there visiting, I think I was there until 8pm. Actually we had a managers meeting on monday with all the managers and the owner...we were there. It happened on Tuesday, 29 July 2003 at roughly 1805 hours. I have proof: The picture was taken by an employee of the Strand Theatre in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. Rach is a cool person.
