10cc . Hmmm. Never knew that's where that group got that name. I have the song "I'm Not in Love" from May 1975 in my head now. What interesting trivia can come up from these discussions!

10cc is 10 ml, so 7300 * 10ml would be 73000 ml, or 73 liters (about 19.3 gallons). That's once a day for 20 years. 19.3 / 20 is 0.965. Just round it off to a gallon a year for an easy-to-remember ratio.

Heh heh, snopes says that origin of the 10cc name is an urban legend. All I know is that's what I heard back in 1977. [Big Grin]

Whereas if research seems to show that masturbation may reduce the incidence of prostate cancer in men, might it not be worthwhile to undertake such research to see if such practice by females might reduce the incidence of uterine, cervical or ovarian cancer in women?

If so, would it not be encumbent upon us as Film-Techers
to gain the honor of initiating this inquiry by each contributing $1.00 to begin a foundation for such research?

Can't you just imagine the headlines?

I'm sure the headline would be something like

"Lonely projectionists stuck alone in a room with machines fund new research to validate their masturbation practices"

quote:
Remember the group "10cc"? That's where the name came from.
As Paul later discovered earlier in this thread, the above is just that: an urban legend

If the band were named as such they would have been called '3cc' [Smile]

I do believe that one particular paper had the headline..

"HANDY WAY TO BEAT CANCER"

Sadly, cannot remember which one.

As for the practice, my betrothed has informed me that she has no problem with this whenever I want to go ahead and take the necessary steps to stop cancer... Just so that she can watch.

I would like to know the benefits of super clean pipes! If one could masturbate enough, could they then actually come up with a cure for cancer? Where would you inject it?

Ok, enough, I am starting to gross myself out. Besides, I have a gubenetorial run coming next year. It would be very unbecomeing of me if I just kept coming up with more things that I come up with.

HA [evil]
