Author Topic: Exhibitor-owned payphone question: Charles Everett Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1470 From: New Jersey Registered: May 2001 posted 08-07-2003 11:29 AM                     The AMC Hamilton has Ameritech (SBC) pay phones that charge 35 cents for a local call. That's kind of neat since Verizon pay phones in New Jersey are 50 cents for a local call. OTOH the Northern New Jersey theaters AMC inherited from General Cinema (Bridgewater Commons, Clifton Commons, Essex Green) use Verizon pay phones. That works out to be $20 for the Cisco box when you consider the savings on the first two months. I was up-and-running in less than five minutes.
