I think putting obituaries of people in the theatre business that aren't otherwise "famous" into one big thread is a fine idea, but I think separate threads for movie stars and other luminaries should still be allowed. Such people deserve their own thread. Just my 2¢.

My reason for posting it in the first place is that Jim was pretty well known by people like us, here in NJ and NYC at least. Handling the stages at Convention Hall and Paramount in Asbury Park, plus his part time work at the Stone Pony and other area music venues would interest a few in here. He was good and big-name bands and shows requested him when they were in town.

A scholarship has been established in Jim's memory. He was a graduate of Brookdale Community College in Lincroft NJ and a fund has been established by them for Jim. The fund's goal is to reach $10,000 and will be used for students in the technical end of theatre, such as stagehands, lighting and sound techs, etc.
