I vote no but his punishment should be that he own/manage a theatre staffed by an entire fleet of Thomas Procyks (think The Simpsons Homer-clones or Being John Malkovich), each of whom will have the attitudes towards work, his employers, difficult customers, etc. ad nauseum, just as he has espoused in his postings here.

BTW, if a new posting bumps a thread to the top would it not be great if there was some sort of negative posting that would sink a thread back to the bottom?

I don't know how easy it would be to implement, but I wish that this forum would automatically "kill" threads older than, say, a year. They would still be readable, but posts would not be editable and new posts could not be made. Obviously, there would have to be exceptions for some threads (who the heck are you, etc.), but those could be done manually.

Maybe Daryl can tell us how feasable this would be.

I wrote that code and saved it on my keychain about a month ago... now if I could only find my keychain we'd be all set.

Those aren't theatre seats!!!

(sorry-- reminded me of the "Those aren't pillows!!!" line from Planes, Trains and Automobiles.

And -- if we're still voting on Thomas I vote no on the ban, but I'm all in favor stricter Thomas Control Laws... like a 2 week waiting period for all his posts to clear, enough time to perform a background check. [Razz]

Hmmm, the two-week Thomas waiting period for each of his posts sounds pretty good.

Happy Birthday to Me!

For bringing up an old thread about BANNING HIMSELF, he deserves to be banned. And/or be sentenced to life as a proofreader for Joe Redifer.
