Oh yes, that photo took a whopping 35 percent more than your member picture. It's Film-Yak. If you're concerned about bandwidth, and know you don't like the topic, don't waste yours by opening it, then complaining about it. Why is this thread any more of a bandwidth waster than "Man Drives for Help With Shark Attached To His Leg"?
If you're a moderator, and this thread pisses you off, then lock it. I won't be offended. I didn't even start it.
This thread just happened to be about something that I collect, so I participated. I collect Ken dolls! I'll bet if a female had made that last post of mine, you wouldn't have said a word about it.
Film-Yak is for non-film-related things, and there is nothing wrong with me posting things related to this topic. While the population here is overwhelmingly male, who aren't usually into such things, I can understand if interested in this topic is limited.
Sorry for the tone: I had insulting comments posted about myself in a public Huntsville forum yesterday (in a manner that would never be permitted here) and still feel a bit on edge. I got attention brought to myself for being a frequent mall-walker by some person I don't even know, who described me in a negative, insulting way. At least some friends and coworkers defended me in that forum.

quote: Nothig wrong with mall walking that I know of.
The guy deleted his thread a few minutes ago. He said that "that long-haired hippy mall walker guy really creeps me out" in a forum that's read by hundreds of people, including a number of my friends and coworkers. So, some people that didn't know me posted thigns like "yeah, he does creep me out", while my friends and coworkers posted things in my defense. He apologized for it, so it's gone. I live 2 miles from that mall and do walk in it a lot, and in doing so for 16 years, have become part of the culture here -- the person that nearly everyone has seen, but that few know. To a lot of people, I'm a very mysterious person.
Anyway, this Ken doll thread reminds me that I need to send some new pictures in. I've been using the same picture that the moderators setup for me long, long ago when member pictures were first introduced. Why does it remind me that I need to do this?
I'm using pictures of long-haired Ken doll mug shots as icons in that other forum!
My battery is totally dead in my camera, so I'll recharge it tomorrow and do something. Maybe I can evantually send in enough to create a nice rotating gallery of pictures like Josh Jones has.
