Turned up in dozens of trailers in the 90's. Since it's the end of our season, we've been playing random trailers the last few weeks just for fun. Last night, someone pulled "Air Force One". That trailer used "Crimson Tide" AND "Speed." Sigh. Last week during "Men Without Pants Weekend" ("Alexander" and "Robin Hood, Men In Tights" were the features) we showed trailers for "Ben Hur," and "Sorority Boys," just to compliment the theme. In retrospect, I really wish I had been watching "Ben Hur" instead of Alexander. What a turd. Oh dear... At any rate, one is going to have the best luck finding soundtrack stuff at online stores. Ebay is a pretty good source for out of print stuff. I personally would rather buy the CD but I'll settle for P2P if they have it, which they don't anyway. This is slightly ironic, given that one of the reasons the Hitchhiker's movie wasn't picked up and made long, long ago was because "science fiction comedy won't work". And then Men In Black came out and, funnily enough, was fairly successful. I just find it remarkable that with the TON of music in existence (even the TON of music a film company has the rights to), we hear the same handful of themes incessantly. It's like if I have 500 CD's of clip art and I always use the same three images for every project, regardless of the nature of the project.
