While I try to avoid imagining certain F-T members in bikinis, I'll take take time out to say that Film-Guard is truly the Nectar of the (Film) Gods, and now "patently" so! [Wink]

Congrats, Brad! [thumbsup] [thumbsup] [beer]

I agree, its technical oscar time for Brad! You Have to wear the tux but you don't have to shave...... At least Michael Moore didn't have to.
So what happens to that FilmGuard clone now being sold by another vendor?

Mark

Research into the validity of the product that is trying to be patented and to make sure that it doesn't conflict with any existing patents.

Never known anyone that owned a patent. Congratulations Brad! I've known since the beginning that this product was something special!

Actually Brad I just haven't had the time to do my regular patent searchs relating to the industry as the US Patent ofice for some time has blocked almost all the Canadian IP address so one has through the Canadian Patent office search of foreign patents (which is a slow process).
Finally that changed a few weeks ago with canadian IP adrresses getting acces again

Congrats again Brad

Does it cost a lot to get a patent through?

[Eek!] Looks like you gotta BE rich to GET rich in the land of opportunity. But we all knew that already, didn't we? [Wink]

Congrats, Brad!! So what new "power" does a registered patent give you that "patent pending" didn't? I assume it's power of litigation against people like "that other company" who sells "that other substance" hehe.

I agree, if Brad doesn't get a technical achievement award for this, that means the Academy doesn't care about film presentation quality. OOOOOooooooh! [eyes]

And then - after months of celebrating - Mr Perfect did forget a small thing:
Film-Guard Dealer's list, buttom right: "patent pending".

Don't be so modest, Mr Chairman
