Author Topic: Verbatim Digital Vinyl CD-Rs Jesse Skeen Phenomenal Film Handler Posts: 1517 From: Sacramento, CA Registered: Aug 2000 posted 10-21-2004 12:21 PM                     I wish they'd make blank DVDs with a replica of the old MCA DiscoVision labels printed on them. I have a friend who swears by Taiyo Yuden (sp?) discs. I like the 2-sided Ritek DVD-Rs, but they have a clear center so there's barely any place to label them. Its a bunch of concentric circles printed inside each other. Posts: 1219 From: Denver, Colorado Registered: Nov 2003 posted 11-12-2004 06:16 PM                        Well, I received some compilation CDs from my cousin and he sent me a couple of the so called "Vinyl" CD-Rs. It is in fact just like any other CD, only on the label side it has the texture like a shiny vinyl album. The underside is just what a regular CD looks like. But I did a quick comparison with a TDK CD-R and the Verbatim seems to be more durable. Also, currently listening to the CDs... just in case I can figure out the difference between it and maybe an actual music CD. The result... couldn't tell much of a difference... since the files were also as .cda. But yeah, I already knew I could not yet compare the two. Only the over time of usage can differentiate that. Wait.............. Ah ha.... Listening to about 8 songs into it and already its starting to skip. When I encounter that, I try playing it in my computer and it usually helps.
