Christmas songs that make you want to claw at your ears?!!

There's a company called Star Mobile Homes here in Erie. Every year for as long as I can remember they have put a commercial on TV that'll make you tear at your own flesh!

It's noting but a photo montage of mobile homes, interior and exterior shots to the background music, "Carol of the Bells".
"M'Kay?", you think. What's wrong with that? They put in their own words: "Star Mobile Homes - Star Mobile Homes - Star Mobile Homes"... ad infinitum.

It's enough to make you want to pick up a shotgun and blow away your TV!

As far as I'm concerned, there are THREE and ONLY THREE good Christmas songs...

1) Veni Emmanuel -- The Church Hymn.

2) Handel's Messiah -- ALL of it! Not just the excerpts of "The Hallalujah! Chorus" you hear in the movies!

3) Linus and Lucy -- The music from "Charlie Brown's Christmas" by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.

That's it! The rest are commercialized trash!

For all of those still doing your Christmas shopping..

PLEASE be patient and kind to your fellow clerk! We are humans too and this time of year we are bogged down by last minute shoppers and long lines. So be kind, take a deeeeeep breathe, and exhale next time your about to get snotty with a clerk because he/she is out of that Jay-z/Linkin Park CD that you waited till 24 hours before Christmas day to get.

Cheers everyone! Hope Santa brings you good stuff, joy and no projector problems on Christmas Day for Fat Albert! [Smile]

Well, it finally feels like Christmas here! Got down to the 50's already! BRRRRR!!

I heard there's a theater or three doing midnight shows of Bad Santa over the weekend. None that I can find, but that would be a cool thing to do.

Anyone doing any special Christmas screenings (other than Polar Express and Kranks, heh...)?

Today it hasn't gone over 3 degrees fahrenheit ALL DAY! And I have to go walk to work now, UGH. [Frown]

Sometimes I wished I lived where it stayed warm, but then I think about the hurricanes, earthquakes, landslides, forest fires, and tornadoes that generally seem to plague the warmer states and just realize at least if something like that happens in Vermont it will be so bad as to wipe everyone out nice and quick. [Wink]

Anyways, Happy *insert your name for the end of December here* and may the new year bring blessed days. [beer]

Yes, it is amazing, people still buy cd's. And people still go to the movies.

Our CD sales are actually WAY up this year than the past 3 years. Why that is, I dont know. Maybe people just got sick of sitting infront of their computer for hours on end and downloading music?
