Recommended limits of 130 km/h are everywhere and maximum limits of 100 to 120 km/h are posted on urban sections of autobahnen. This means that you may drive as fast as you can (what German people do) - you'll get no fine - except for the 100's and 120's. This trick also may work with European makes that have daytime running lights. When I used to work at one drive-in in this area, I had to go out to the yard and explain to a lot of GM owners to do the park brake trick when they want to run the motor to warm up the cabin during the cooler nights of spring and fall to kill the running lights while the motor was on. -Monte  |  IP: Logged
