Rachel,

Done and done. But I can't really go with your pun. There's something about Sacramento that just won't allow it.

I'm with Mark, the one and only time I've been to a "Hooters" was a couple years ago in Barrie, ON and the food certainly ranked near the bottom of the list of good food around here.

And of course they also operate an airline. Very nice FA uniforms. Now there's an airline I wouldn't mind flying for.
That's actually still going? I thought it went the ways of Roots' & Sky Service's Beaver Air. OK, it wasn't really called Beaver Air, but I'm not sure if anybody at Sky Service knew what it was really named.

Phil is not joking! Hooter's Air

The damned thing flies out of Allentown, too! Don't get me wrong. I love women and their jugs more than just about anything in life, but somehow, airborne near-strippers has a tacky, Jethro Bodine flavor about it that doesn't exactly instill confidence in the air.

I went to a Hooters once, or so I thought. It was actually a "knockoff." The waitresses wore owl suits that weren't sexy in the least. They all had screechy voices, too.

We just got a HOOTERS here in Asheville. The religious zelots had a field-day with it until it actually opened.

I've only been to one Hooters. It was in Atlanta, and I met Bruce Hansen there. The big hot dog I ate was tasty. Lots of boobs and things to look at.

Last night, there was a four hour wait to get into the place. We haven't seen this much excitement in Sacramento since Cheesecake Factory opened last year.

Crap, it seemed like something cool was missing from Sactown, I just would have never guessed it was a Hooters.

*packs bags and movies back to Sacremento*

It's pretty funny that people would make a fuss over a Hooters opening because plenty of people take their young kids there. When you peek in the window, it looks like a family restaurant.

While the female servers wear hot pants and extremely tight outfits, their legs are actually completely covered in opaque stockings.

I go to Hooters once a year when I go to my accountant to have my taxes done. I always go late at night and it's the only thing open when I get out. But IMHO, the food really, really sucks. Plus, they only serve Pepsi brand soft drinks, which I hate. But I have to admit that the girls are really cute. But somehow they manage to find the oldest waitress in the place to serve me, which I guess is just as well because most of the servers are much younger than my daughter and I feel really funny just looking in their direction.

Hooters is more or less a sports bar/restraunt, with typical food for this type venue....but they are expensive. Their claim to fame is their Buffalo Wings....which you can order with a bottle of Dom Perignon for about $100.00.

All their waitresses are younger college girls who are stacked. But just how good looking the girls are can depend on the time of season...summer vacation, spring break...etc, etc.

Their waitresses wear short-shorts (no g-string or bikini) and tight t-shirts w/no bra that show off their assets.

I suppose you could go up to one of the blondes, aske her if she's a real blonde.....then ask her to prove it! [Razz] [beer] [Big Grin] [Wink] [Eek!] [thumbsup] [uhoh] [sex] or ya might ask 'em for some cream in your...ahem....coffee!

Cheers

K.

I finally went there and I was very dissappointed.

1. They make you wait in a line outside until there is a seat available inside. No reservations, no pagers. Just standing, staring in, watching the people on the inside enjoy the Hooters girls for the next hour or so. Fun, fun, fun. This kind of thing might work in, say, Salt Lake City, but it's over 100 degrees here in Sacramento.

2. The food sucks. I was craving Fudruckers after this.

3. The girls didn't smile. Was it because this is a Hooters in Sacramento?

4. My theory about the Hooters girls working their way through college turned out to be true. My brother recognized two of them from his local community college. His friend recognized the same two from his local strip club. I miss the Hooters in Fort Lauderdale, where all the girls were aerobics instructors.

5. I think everything in the kitchen is premade. It's kind of like the MRE's being handed out to survivors in New Orleans (tasted the same too).

6. The beer did nothing to quench my parched throat after waiting an hour in the hot sun to get in.

7. The only way to truly follow up a crappy Sacramento Hooters experience is a fried twinkie at the state fair.

Oh geez. A show of hands, is that not THE most pathetic, old and tired line of all time? [Roll Eyes]
