Research by the Image Permanence Institute suggests that vinegar syndrome can be slowed down by regular 'venting' of elements, i.e. winding them through at least two passes in an atmosphere that has at least six complete changes of air per hour. However, having read the latest issue of the Journal of Film Preservation, Rajiv perhaps took this conclusion a bit too literally.
