Jen, you don't like Florida? The Best State In The Country? Hmm?

Blast You and your estrogenical treachery!!

hehe

I start tonight do wish me luck. This'll be MUCH better than running my own drive-in I think. At least I'll get paid more.

If you're a bouncer in a place that sees a lot of celebrities this is so true. Trust me, I've had plenty of opportunities but I have a girlfriend and I would never stray.

Just watch the classic "Road House" starring Patrick Swayze, that'll teach you all you need to know, haha!

I'm a little worried about ya, Rich. Didn't you have trouble getting past a difference of opinion with an assistant manager at the drive-in?

[Razz]

Seriously, good luck and BE CAREFUL!

Tim, that actually was when I was the Assistant Manager.

I have since moved out of my parents house, Lost 30 pounds, gained muscle mass and improved my self-confidence a BUNCH. I'm not afraid to kick someone out. Also, the others have my back if I decide that someone can't come in, things have changed since my movie days. Yes, changed for the better I say.

Good for you! [Smile] I know that will improve self-confidence. (Coincidentally, I'm working on that again myself, right now.)

Also, the head bouncer, the guy who interviewed me, one of the first things out of his mouth was, "You WILL get more poon here than you ever imagined", so that'll be fun.
I hope you didn't tell him you never actually had sex. That might deflate your "cool" image from the start.

Just was wondering if anyone had any advice on anything about a job like this.
Yes. Get an education.

How do you know? Have you ever been anywhere else? I mean, except for Alabama?

I needed the change. I feel awesome and my self-confidence is through the roof, but not in an egotistical way, you know?

Anyways, I've been there a few days now and I LOVE it, everybody is very friendly and I havent had any issues with customers yet, but I know it will happen. We just moved to the new club. It opens Tuesday. 32,000 square feet. Over 6 million dollars. Apparently it is the largest club in Florida. This place is MASSIVE.

I'll post again Tuesday night after the opening day.

Well, the first Tuesday has come and gone...

Still waiting for my first official problem throwout. Not many issues yet, but OH they will come. Mainly it's just people questioning policys that annoy me. I just am polite as possible and get them to comply.

I've seen a few major problem customers, but they haven't been in my "area" and other guys were there to help, so I disn't need to be there. I have completely tuned out the music now, except when it is a song that I really wanted to hear.

I really like this place and I figure as long as I keep my mouth shut and go where I'm assigned and do the best job I can there, then I'll be on easy street....If any techer's are ever in the Tampa Bay area and want to check it out, drop me an e-mail and I'll get you on my guestlist...No lines and free admission. Only 2 people at a time though...but the offer always will be standing.

* POSTING EMAIL ADDRESSES ON THE BOARD IS FORBIDDEN OUTSIDE OF THE EQUIPMENT FORUM *

That's all I've got for now.
