Author Topic: Need Help Finding Information On A Company Mark Gulbrandsen Resident Trollmaster Posts: 16657 From: Music City Registered: Jun 99 posted 07-02-2006 01:41 PM                     Gord, My Credit Union has been doing that for longer than I've lived out here. I can view and print out copies(for free)of any checks I've written right on line and I also recently changed to an electronic statement as well. Saves on paper and I don't have to store it all! Wasted trees! Interestingly the Utah Banks have tried to bring the Utah Credit Unions under the same State governed taxation laws that govern banks but to no avail. Credit Unions are non profit orginazitions! As a precaution my Credit Union which is the largest in the State changed to being a Federal Credit Union and any childlike State laws passed in that regard cannot affect them at all. Every year I think out of spite towards the Banks my Credit Union donates an in like amount of money that would normally be those taxes to the local school districts. I do just what you do with a seperate part of the account for overdrafts and it doesn't cost anything. Good people too  |  IP: Logged
