Hi all

One of the great things about the Internet is that a lot of content that was previously unavailable is being made available to the general public.

The following video is a 1hr 40 mins presentation by the project manager for the Mars Rover mission.

It is a great presentation with video and slides included which ends on a sad note.

Lecture

If you have broadband and are interested in space exploration do check it out.

Regards Peter

Be warned that at least the first 10 minutes + of that video is boring nonsense about things that don't matter, and since it is WMV (bleh) it cannot be skipped.

Easily fixed. Just move the slider in Windows Media Player along - its skips perfectly.

Iraq - The Real Story, Presented by Glenn Beck.

Non-political, and inspirational. Lots of cool stats in this that I hadn't heard before.

Enjoy.

Revenge of the automatic bollards. I don't recognise the location, but from the markings on the bus (e.g. 'centre' spelt like that), the double yellow lines and the fact that the vehicles are right-hand drive, I guess it was shot somewhere in the UK. The most satisfying bit is the direct hit on the Islington Tractor,* the driver of which was being so stupendously moronic as to actually acccelerate through the huge neon 'no entry' signs and into the rising bollard.

* Islington (or sometimes Chelsea) Tractor - British derogatory slang for SUV. Islington is an upscale suburb of North London, hence the implication that any city dweller who feels the need to own an SUV has more money than sense.
