I build 5hp briggs engines for modified go-cart classes and with an aluminum flywheel (and other modifications of course) we will typically see upwards of 27 to 30 horse power at 10,500 rpm with the stock block and crank. These are the only two factory briggs items and they do require some "prep" work, but the engine APPEARS stock.(has to run alcohol, though)
