Being fortunate enough to have a local camera store that also rents all the EOS lenses so I can try before I buy I have finally found one decent lens for this camera that actually is superb... Its the 17 to 40 mm F4 L series lens. I have tried many of the wide angle zoom lenses for this camera including the much touted 16 to 35mm f-2.8 L series and the F2.8 lens was not near as sharp at the sides and corners as the 17 to 40mm was overall. So I ended up with this lens in my set. The sharpness, color, and contrast this lens is capable of is incredible.

Highly reccomended in spite of its slower F-4 speed!!

Mark
