I'm impressed by the range of the sensor. I assume they had it up front somewhere. As Michael stated, the engine will only accept digital signals incoming from DVI or HD-SDI. In order to use the 360 on the CP2K, or any other 2K cinema projector for that matter- an A/D converter and/or Scaler is needed. I know of one particular theater that uses a IPM-2K scaler and the 360 to play games on a 50ft screen using a CP2000. The picture looks great and the theater uses a DMA-8 to get full 5.1 sound from the games. Much better looking than that cheezy dukane looking projector in the video. Personally, I get motion-sick playing games on a screen so large but it still is impressive to see. It looks as though the Wii is only capable of 420p, which is exceptionally crappy and disappointing considering the game system was just recently released. The PS3 on the other hand is fully capable of HD-DVD or Blu-ray specs with 1080P output over HDMI. That would look impressive on screen considering it is very close to a 2K intermediate. Posts: 4143 From: Boston, MA Registered: Apr 2002 posted 02-07-2007 08:42 PM                        You need something like the AJA HD10A, if you have at least analog component output at 720p or higher. If your video device has DVI, it also works on lower resolutions as the TI engine accepts 480p, but those converters dont't. They want at least 720p. I am sure there are standard resolution a/d converters out there which give you DVI or SDI outputs, but I haven't used any. The Wii can do 480p. Not sure what 420p is. Maybe that resolution is for mentally disabled children? I know XBOX has the settings to go to higher resolutions, but many av forums and sites state that current limitations of component video keep it from passing anything higher than 720P. The people on whatever forums you are reading are idiots and should be disemboweled for all to see. That would be a good thing as it is quite obvious that they have forsaken their right to live. Component video can do 1080p as well, it's just that manufacturers aren't allowing it on their component inputs. 720p really isn't much over 480p. 720p should be called MDTV, for "Medium Definition".  |  IP: Logged
