Yep, NGCorp Theatres was a decent company to work with, but had probs why Ted MANN bought that circuit back in 1973.

MANN was given an instruction to make money and show improvements of the the NGCorp Theatres and do it within 5 yrs, or he would have to revert the transaction back to NGC.

Thus, he closed down tons of barns up in Montana for starters - old Fox Intermountain and NGC theatres and all what he could do with those locations east of the Mississippi.

By 1978. MANN did accomplish this task and made MANN THEATRES a rather profitable company with almost 1000 screens and with new locations popping up all over the west in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Ariz and Colorado-along with expansions in major California cities.

The vote came down to 4-0 againist Landmarking the National Theatre. Work might start as soon as January on razing the theatre.

All that's left of the National Theatre is the frame work of the building. The National has been gutted out, soon it will be a hole in the ground.
