Seeing it many years later, when the Queen became the witch it struck a familiar chord in the back of my head, like "I've seen this somewhere". Same thing with THE WIZARD OF OZ. When I saw it on a reissue, the witch melting was familiar. I must have had a thing for witches! Well, maybe not the first movie, but the oldest I've seen was one of the silent Wizard of Oz movies. We're talking long before the famous technicolor one that plays on turner stations every year. Incidentally, it's on the Ultimate edition of the said Technicolor one as one of the bonus features. Pretty impressive for a 4 or 5 year old with ADD to make it through the over 3 hour screening.
