I think she had the dates wrong as they did not have this type of wide CinemaScope®screen at a outdoor theatre in 1952. The Drive In's got scope screens starting in 1954 and later on. Some did not put in scope till the late 50's. They still made plenty of flat non scope movies in the 50's. The original screen in 1952 was probably just a big square 1.33 and they added wood to the sides for a wide screen look in 1954? Let's hope they put in a nice larger semi curved screen, but the old one looked to be a nice size. Lucky over the years a big wind storm did not take It down.
