I went to the photo store yesterday. While I was looking around, I asked the guy behind the counter if he had any IT-8 targets. He shrugged and said, "Let me go look downstairs."

About 5 minutes later he came back with an AGFA IT-8 paper target. He said, "We were going to throw this out." Then he just gave it to me. [Smile]

I know it's not perfect but there is a noticeable difference after I used it. I scanned the target and ran the profiling program in VueScan and saved a "scanner.icc" profile. Then VueScan prints out another target on your printer which you put back into your scanner and run a second profile on to create a "printer.icc" profile. It took about 10 minutes to do the whole thing.

Even with that simple process you can see a difference. My printer isn't the best but, profiled this way, it is certainly all right for most "everyday" work that I would do.

Now, if I could only find a profile for those Kodak dye-sub printers I would be golden!
