Jarret; Congratulations and pay attention to Phil`s advice, especially the part about changing male infants diapers. I remember it so well, hes 56 now but the jet stream when he was a few monthg old is unforgettable.

Also, buying a gas mask helps for those really nasty diapers. It does have a tendency to scare the hell out of your child however.

Thanks everyone.
Kudos to Robert with his 6 boys and 3 girls! I can only imagine now.
Everything has been crazy around here. The phone doesn't seem to stop (the ringers are now off except for one). I have yet to be peed on, I have however already changed more diapers than Phil has. I'm afraid the house is filling with stuff quickly too, I'm not sure how many more things we can bring in here.
My cats seem pretty good with the whole thing too, but if the crying starts they all take off.

In preparation for this child we've attended lots of prenatal stuff and learned about programs in our community to take advantage of now that we have our boy. We've also both digested lots of books in preparation. I've found that I still have loads to learn, so I filled up my chapters shopping cart online today. Last night I was on youtube at 4am trying to find techniques for soothing a crying newborn.

I appreciate everyones comments.

I guess now I'm going to shift from asking for help on getting ready, to asking people what to do now that he's here!

(Gord, I will teach him to count, no worries)
