Facebook Places is yet another technological reason why no one should screw around on a significant other. Big Brother is watching and we are Big Brother.

Even if you disable all tagging stuff in the Facebook Places feature any of your friends (or even friends of friends) could announce he/her saw that you arrived at a certain place with a certain somebody and that certain somebody certainly isn't your significant other. Most certainly. And you'll certainly be screwed over this situation. Deleting that certain "friend" from your friends list will then be the least of your problems.

Still, I consider Facebook to be more positively useful than negative. I've gotten back in touch with friends not seen in more than 20 or even 30 years. As someone who grew up as a Marine Corps brat in various places across the country (and Japan) I think that is very cool.

It's pretty cool, but sort of scary at the same time, in how Facebook is getting so heavily integrated into smart phones. My contact list and calender has all sorts of hooks into Facebook. If you have listed your birthday or a particular important event on FB and am in my friend's list your birthday and/or event will automatically show up in my phone's calender. It's convenient, but may inspire yet another new level of laziness.

One of my facebook friends posted recently that her boss is a "c__t". This was over a month ago, and that friend is still employed. Must mean the friend's coworkers are not her facebook friends and thus didn't know and didn't tell on her.
There are multiple possibilities here;

-Her Facebook friends agree that the boss is a cunt bitch.

-Her Facebook friends don't feel like getting involved in her drama.

-She blocked her coworkers from seeing that particular status update. Easy to do.

*laughing*
That particular girl is all about drama, Joe, so it's answer #2.
Strangely I have several female "friends" who seem to relish breaking up with their boyfriends on Facebook or bitch about how the boyfriend doesn't understand her needs. I once sent a note to one of them informing her that "Boys don't know that shit instinctively. We are not wired that way. You have to train and teach that boyfriend what your needs are."
She agreed, but after she had another facebook "spat" with her boyfriend I simply started ignoring her. I should "hide" her entries like I hide all the Farm Ville related shit from my newsfeed.

It's been fun updating places...but I don't know how useful it will be in a small town or if hardly any of your friends use it. I was using loopt, but hardly anyone I knew was using it as well, so it made it kind of pointless. I'm hoping since Facebook has integrated it, I can have some more fun.

I don't really see the point in Places or Foursquare or whatnot. If you want people to know you're somewhere, just say you are there! Interestingly, my Twitter geotags every post I make, but doesn't say the place where I am, just a street that is near me.

Scott, are you getting the extra large eggs? I'll bet you are a 2% kind of guy.

Nobody ever "signs in" to the restroom.

Try this experiment: eat nothing but fruit for three days. Apples, oranges, grapes, bananas, etc. One of my friends, a chiropractor and fitness freak, says it works very well to cleanse the body of lots of bad stuff.

You'll camp out on the toilet a LOT. Not quite as bad as drinking quarts of "go lightly" before a colonoscopy, but still pretty bad nonetheless.

It reminded me of one of my Grandfather's metaphors for diarrhea: the green apple squirts.

I don't care what anyone says, bathroom humor is funny. Git er done!

The only security change Facebook needs to make is allowing the user to distinguish between "Friends" and "acquaintances."
Shouldn't there be a third option of "Family"?

Will depend on the boss/company

The following appeared in a film rated 15 (not 18) in the UK, so is obviously not too offensive.

Y'know, I've come across a lot of psychos, but none as fucking boring as you. You are a real boring fuck. Sorry, sorry, I know you disapprove of swearing so I'll sort that out. You are a boring F, star, star, CUNT!
