Wow -- awful, shocking news; condolences his family.

We exchanged some emails and he help me when I was wiring up a penthouse on a JJ. His generousity in wanting to help a buddy was quite apparant; I wish I could have met him in person.

Requiescant in Pace, Pirate Man.

Very shocked and saddened.

I regret never having had a chance to meet him in person, but I enjoyed the email and chat conversations we had. I will miss the substantial contribution of advise, insight, and humor he added to this forum.

I regret that I have no other info to share at this time. I've left a couple of voice mails for Phil's sister and have NO response. There's not much else I can do.
Should she contact me I'll be sure to share the news.

Don

I'm really saddened by this. It was clear to me without even having met Phil that he had a cool vibe and was one of the good ones. The world needs more good ones, not less.

There was a thread a few years back where we each responded to something the other posted. It was the only interaction we ever had but it really made me laugh.

So long, buddy. [Frown]

My Friends House
I just made a donation to this charity in Phil's honor. It is a highly rated charity and does work I think Phil would support. I invite any of you to do the same.
Rest well Phil

I spoke with him about a month ago. Over 1 hour; he said "We talk like a couple of old women." Louis

I haven't been on Film -Tech for a while so only just heard this very sad news.
Like many here my contact with Phil was via FT postings, e-mails and the very occasional phone call. Sadly never got the chance to meet him in person.
We did butt heads a few times but always seemed to work out our differences.
I learnt a lot from him and for that will be eternally grateful.
My thoughts are with his family and those of you who were lucky enough to count him as a close friend.
