But, realize the Cigar is using the Hawaiian tobacco as the filler. The wrappers & binders, which give a Cigar much of its distinctive flavor are NOT Hawaiian and as such you really might not taste what your local tobaccos all about. I think it has been at least 14 years since I smoked. Because I do not and have never had an addiction problem with tobacco when I smoked a pipe and cigars because I did not inhale, I do not think there will be a problem if I smoked one or three cigars now if I tried the Hawaiian cigars out of curiosity. No matter how good they may be, I will not resume smoking after I sampled the cigars because I prefer spending my money on more practical things like food, clothes, or even Blu-Ray discs. -Claude  |  IP: Logged Fred Georges Master Film Handler Posts: 257 From: Lombard, IL, USA Registered: Jun 2000 posted 02-09-2011 07:22 PM                     Cigar tobaccos are grown in very alklyd soil & as such the smoke is very akryd & will knock you on your keester if you inhale. Cigars are also not as nicotine intensive as cigarettes & aren't as physically addictive. I quit smoking cigarettes 25 years ago cold turkey & only in the last few years have taken up smoking an occasional stoggie. It is absolutely overpowering and not in a good way. Pipes can smell somewhat pleasant so I can understand that not that I'd ever want to smoke anything. Cigarettes and weed smell awful as well, but not quite as potent as cigars. What the hell is wrong with people? My grandpa was a pipe smoker and that was the only tobacco smoke I ever even sorta liked the smell of. What's really amazing to me is why women start smoking. Women are always so concerned about how they smell, why would they do something guaranteed to make them smell bad? My grandpa and uncle both smoked pipes and I always found the odor not only to be inoffensive, but actually very pleasant; I think my uncle smoked a tobacco that was laced with cherry. It filled the house with a warm, sweet scent. Yet cigars are uniquivocally, incredibly vile smelling. How can they be such polar opposites when it's essentially the same process for both -- they are burning tobacco? Without meaning to offend anyone who smokes cigars, but do you have any idea how disgusting they smell to anyone within 100 yards? I assume that most cigar smokers are careful to practice good hygiene and use deodorant so as NOT to smell offensive and would be mortified and painfully embarrassed if they thought they had horrible BO which repelled everyone around them. So how is it they seem oblivious to the fact that their cigar stink is like 100 times more noxious that the worst BO and worse, it is inescapable by anyone in the same building. It was only with the pipe, according to my dentist. Me: Did he actually tell you that it was ok to smoke cigars? You: Yes, he told me not to smoke the pipe and that it was gonna give me cancer. Telling you "Don't smoke pipes" isn't the same as "Go ahead and smoke cigars." They're insecure and they see the popular girls smoking, so they feel a lot of pressure to do the same stupid shit. The only cigar smoke I've encountered that actually smelled pleasant was smoke from a really expensive cigar. To me, most cigar smoke smells a little bit like shit. Literally. I'm not kidding. My dad got into this cigar smoking kick for awhile back in the 1990s. He'd smoke while driving in this old Chevy Silverado my parents still own. The cigar smoke made the inside of that truck smell like turds. Thankfully the shit smell dissipated after he quit the cigar thing. Personally, I'm not into smoking anything. I don't give one damn at all if the government keeps hiking sin taxes on cigarettes either. They can make it $100 per pack or just ban it for all I care. I can't get the image out of my head how my mother's father looked when he was dying of lung cancer. Near the end the doctors removed his left lung. Yeah. That made smoking look really cool to me. He enjoys cigars, so his wife booked a big table at The Humidor in Nassau, where the Greycliff cigars are made. The waiting room was adjacent to the room where the cigars are actually rolled.
