Ayakawa Film God Posts: 2738 From: Waipahu, Hawaii, USA Registered: Aug 2002 posted 09-24-2011 05:51 PM                        I was able to catch a 70mm showing of GHOSTBUSTERS at the Waikiki #1 (Twins) and was probably the only one on the planet that did not enjoy this movie at all. I was so bored with it, I walked out after about an hour. After hearing how wonderful this film was, I decided to give it another chance and rented it when it came out on home video and I still did not like it. It probably is a great movie and how I wish I could have enjoyed it like all of you. It was one of (if not THE) highest-grossing comedies of all time -- not exactly sure why that is, because there are a lot of films that are way funnier -- but what makes it cool is the cast. Both screens of the twin in which I ran it used almost all of the frame height in 'scope. As I recall, during the Stay-Puffed Man sections, the frame lines were nearly academy thickness.  |  IP: Logged
