He first learned to pull down on the lever and lean forward to push open the doors inside. He then figured out to pull down on the lever and back up while holding onto the lever to open doors that lead outside. We wake up in the morning with the upstairs door open and he and his feline mates all outside. Hard to catch him in the act as he is the most elusive felines I have....not owned...but let live in my home. You can go one better if you like: this guy in NC has developed a miniature video camera that attaches to your kitty's collar, recording stills and/or video to a flash memory card inside it. When the cat comes in from a day's territory patrol, you can remove the card and see a "cat's eye" view of what (s)he's been up to.
