They look neat to the Spectator at the Drags;but they don't Track for Crap. One of the disadvantages of Wheelbase being too Short. It's pretty pathetic though when you have a car that can go as high as a 100 grand(optioned) and already have to worry about recalls after the thing is barely built. GM might find itself even lower than 2nd place if they don't get their act together. Ridiculous to have that many recalls over the last couple years. These UAW Employee's aren't going to know what hit them when their Jobs end up in China assembly Plant's. Even they wouldn't have that many recalls. All these recalls are due to design flaws, and and inferior components (many of which are made overseas) not due to UAW workers. Case in point the GM recalls regarding the ignition switches. This had nothing to do with how the vehicle was assembled, but rather the ignition switches not meeting specifications. Another factor was where the ignition switches were placed - a design flaw, and even the design of the key itself. Where does the UAW enter into any of that? But yes, the recalls are ridiculous and embarrassing for the industry. Just put the blame in the correct places, American assembly workers aren't the cause of these recalls. Moving assembly to China wouldn't reduce the recalls we've experienced.  |  IP: Logged Sam D. This union bashing is out of place and inaccurate. Take Boeing as an example. The 787 assemblies made in the non union south are inferior to the ones made in Seattle by IAM workers. In fact, the workers in Everett are doing clean up and finishing the work started in South Carolina on a regular basis. Maybe that was intentional The Boys in Everett/Renton didn't want to have to repair those SC assembled parts any longer.
