Mike, they only feel ripped off if they have their pockets have been picked at the door with a surcharge. If 3D were marketed only as another tool in the filmmaker's cinematic toolbox like wide screen and color and 3D sound, and not as a gimmicky excuse to charge a higher ticket price, 3D would become more of what I think it should be...just an enhancement. No one gets charge and extra $3 bucks to hear a film in 6 channel or 7 channel stereo.

You are right -- it's all in the marketing. And the marketing guys should be shot.

People don't feel ripped off if they feel like thing they paid for gives them their money's worth (or more).
