I'm a bit shocked at your "Lawrence" comparison. It is, quite possibly, the worst 70mm to DCP I've seen/heard. The picture absolutely sucks on it...the 70mm isn't just a little bit crisper...it is many fold better. The image on the DCP is so bad, one almost has to wonder what went wrong. I too screened it in 4K...even did freeze frames to see just what was going on with it...verifying that there was nothing wrong with the projector/system...threw up Samsara to verify that 4K should look really good (it did) put Lawrence back up...still crap. If you think that the 4K Lawrence DCP looks like anything other than crap, I question your visual judgement. Next time you get it...go down to the screen and look at it. It's pretty bad.

Sound wise...again, I don't know what is up with what you heard...I found the DCP sound to be nasty and shrill (screened in two different THX rooms with consistent results). Mind you, I never thought Lawrence was cinema's best sound example but the DCP version didn't do anything, in my opinion to improve it and, also in my opinion, made it worse. But if you liked it, more power to you.
