Which sound format? Also, if you are using Dolby Digital, is it the big projector
mounted penthouse reader, or is it the basement reader, meaning that there is no
extra threading required for digital sound? Let me know and then we'll get down
to it!

Are you hearing clicks in the digital output, or are you hearing it fault to the analog
optical track? I suspect that this would be easy enough to check by turning off the
power to the exciter lamp...if you hear sound alternating with silence, then you're
listening to digital faults. There's probably a way to tell what is happening by
looking at the front panel of the SDDS unit, but I'm not familiar with the format. In
any case, if you're hearing analog faults, then it's probably an alignment issue or a
problem with the print, and it's probably in the best interest of your customers to
disable the digital system until the problem is fixed (I can't stand analog faults,
myself...I'd rather watch a film in SR than hear more than one or two faults during
the show).

Sorry. It is the Sony digital system. All of the ones at my theatre do this and so
does the ones at my friends theatre. Is there an adjustment?

OK here is probably the best thing you can do. Throw the SDDS unit away. No
wait! Sell it and buy 1 DTS unit and 1 Dolby Digital unit and have money left over.
