Heya, I can't find my little book that came with the Cat160 (LFE board) and need
to know what the subwoofer maps to on the backplane of the 50.

I don't have the paperwork with me, but there is a terminal strip in the center of
the backplane of the CP50 at the bottom labeled something similar to "output to
surround processor" and it has L, C, R, S outputs. The sub will output through the
"C" lead.

I should mention here that Dolby is pretty good about sending out schematics for
older equipment. They've sent me a few pages that were missing from the CP-50
manual that I have, and seemed quite happy to do so. They usually fax these
things, but I suspect that they'd be willing to send it via postal mail as well,
probably at no charge.

How does one go about hooking up a SRA5 (or similar) SR adaptor to the
CP50? I'm assuming you take the Preamp out's but where does it go back in the
chain?

I'll email you directly with the wiring diagrams.

Why not replace the Cat.22's with Cat. 280's and forget the SRA5?
