I am willing to purchase the book "Reel People" from anyone who has it. My local bookstore can not order it and the movie theatre where I work has lost it's copy. Anyone who can get one drop me a line!

Why do you want that book? It is a very outdated joke. There is nothing in it in regards to present day problems. For that matter, not much Kodak publishes really assists projectionists with polyester problems. They just like to quote old SMPTE reports.

That book is a GREAT comedy! I have never laughed so hard in my life! It always cheers me up when I am down. Just thinking about it gives me the giggly's. Hell, just thinking about Kodak in general makes me chuckle--- or upchuck...sometimes both.Seriously, Kodak's teachings should not be considered sound.

The "Motion-Picture Projection and Theatre Presentation Manual" SMPTE, printed in 1969 is a good read, although much dated. Isnt it a shame that with sooooooooo many proessionals around that there really is NO publication,book, or manual available to us film handlers.

Admittedly some of the early Kodak "Film Notes for Reel People" have some dated material in them. But every issue has something of use, even today. I know that opinions of Kodak have changed for the better among some people. ![[Smile]](smile.gif)
