Did anyone know the current dye transfer prints are 6th generation technology? I didn't. There is some interesting information on their web site www.technicolor.com Click on "about us" and then "innovations". Their latest prints are nothing short of incredible...check it out.

Speaking as one who owns several 30+ year old IB prints, I will say that I am glad it is back. The colors are more saturated like what you might see if you were there in person. Old classics like Oklahoma! look like a mirror image on the screen.Dr Zhivago is Metrocolor, I think. I saw a new print a few years ago, and it looked very nice, too, but it will fade. Thinking about it, this was the late '70's before LPP. It's already faded.
I hope that IB will become something that people come to recognise as being something special.
