Ever since the crash a week ago the number of posts has dropped significantly on the forum, yet the number of people visiting the forum hasn't changed. Mr.Pytlak has informed me he is unable to post any replies or new messages for some reason, although everyone I've asked hasn't had a problem. He is using an older version of Netscape and I would appreciate it if people could attempt to post a test reply below to this message and email me at:
Flix@film-tech.com
if you are unsuccessful in posting. If this is a widespread problem I would like to get it fixed a.s.a.p.Thanks!

So far, I think this is working. My new password came up. The only thing I have noticed is that the little yellow boxes beside the topics no longer changes to red.Bruce

Test Test,
While we are in no particular topic I'd just like to say that I miss Eyes Wide Shut because it had great music in the credits!

Okay, I guess this means I'm able to post. I also noticed that this forum still uses cookies but doesn't highlight the "new posting" threads in red anymore.
Posted by Thomas Ferreira (Member # 96) on 09-12-1999, 06:53 AM:
No problems from here-and on WebTV, the cookies are still active, and the new topics are still in red.
Posted by Ed Johnson (Member # 94) on 09-12-1999, 10:39 AM:
Looks like it worked for me.
Posted by Bruce McGee (Member # 131) on 09-12-1999, 10:41 AM:
Thomas: I too am on WebTV. I had a crash of my own last week. I went down a couple of days after this site came back up. I dont get the red boxes anymore. This is becoming too much for me...I dont know if I can take it anymore...

this is a replyI miss the feature of a topic geting highlighted if there are additions since my last visit.
Best wishes to Brad and this premiere forum! What a catalog of 35mm manuals! I have found two other places to put a link to this forum from film-center.com where I am now attempting to place only 16mm manuals and then pointing to Brad's forum for anyone interested in 35mm.
I can't wait to try filmguard.

Works great! I want to thank Brad for being so dedicated to keeping the site running with perfection. He obviously takes as much pride in this site as he does with film presentation. Keep up the good work, Brad! Using an Apple G3 running Netscape 4.06

Ever since I went to Internet Explorer (4.0), I can now not only READ this forum but I can also make those few postings that I've done while lurking. I could not view this site with Netscape (3.01). Ditto those others' comments about the red flags. They are/were great.
Hey Brad: What happened to all the buy/sell forums? I need a few more 35mm titles to salivate over now that my cash reserves are down :-)

Yes it works fine in Denmark, Europe to!I miss the films wanted/sales forums as well.
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 09-16-1999, 10:52 PM:
The films forums never did too much traffic and they were dropped during some forum testing. I can add them back (although I think I would do a free for all sale/wanted instead of breaking down the formats by gauge and sale/wanted as before) if there is an interest.Still working on those red folders.

After having to re-register, I can POst again!
Posted by Brad Miller (Member # 2) on 09-17-1999, 10:50 AM:
Ah-ha. Looks like you were one of the few who got "booted" accidentally in preserving the old threads after the crash. (The system goes by numbers and not names, so I had no idea who got kicked.) That means there's still one more out there lurking who can't post without re-registering.
Posted by Bruce McGee (Member # 131) on 09-17-1999, 12:55 PM:
Aaron: dont feel alone. I got booted too. I tried not to take it too personally. Hope nothing happens like this again. Just for safety, my new password has no numbers in it.
Where is the third lost poster?

Check check....Yes, I can still post. Although I am just trying to keep this boring thread alive.
