A week ago or so I was visiting Technicolor's web site and read that they were developing their own version of the 6000' ELR. Given the reputation of their 'old-style' break apart 2000' reels I have only one thing to say: AAAAGGHH @#^$&@$&^!!

Geena Davis said it best, actually:
...Be Afraid. Be VERY Afraid...

This is ridiculous. These people can't even make a 2000' reel that will halfway stay together! Imagine chasing after a 6000' roll of film unraveling down the hallway!!!

I'm convinced now this is just another little something to further push the industry into digital cinema. They just bought a huge chunk of stock. It's all making sense now.

Good. About damn time! I can't wait for digital cinema. I hate working. I want to sit on my ass and rot because I lost my job to a VCR.

But seriously, Technicolor 6000 foot reels will break apart much easier than their 2000 foot reels, I am willing to bet.
