Anyone else get a print of "Light it Up" from Fox and Deluxe Hollywood that had half the reels printed on Kodak Vision and the other half printed on Fuji?What's up with that? Does Fox really expect this movie to bomb so bad they told the lab to use all the leftover rolls to print this film on? I'm not thinking that is the case, because the print I looked at did not have a single lab splice in it.

That one is news to me. I've heard of some features that have used different stocks for different markets, but have never heard of deliberately mixing the stocks for the reels in the same print. They do have different "looks", and I happen to prefer Kodak Vision color print film for the richness of its blacks and better color reproduction. (Not that I'm biased).

Gee, John, I would have NEVER have guessed that you prefer Kodak stock! I thought that you were a die hard Fuji man. Anyway, perhaps Fox just had the labs print up a bunch of Kodak prints and a bunch of Fuji prints (why they would do this is beyond me---just pick a film stock and go with it!) After that, maybe someone at the lab or even the depot screwed up and just grabbed a few reels from this pile and a few from that pile. I can't think of anything else that could have caused this.
