Anyone have experience with this amp, pro or con? It's BGW's lower-priced line, perhaps similar to the QSC USA line?

I'm considering it for my small (22x35) screening room.

Thanks,

Lowell

I'm not familiar with the BGW amps, but I can say (both from personal experience and word of mouth) tha the QSC amps are generally quite good with respect to reliability and sound quality.

I'd get rid of the BGW amplifiers and get some QSC amps instead because they are more reliable and perform well.

Stick with QSC mx1500a amps or better. Alternatively, the Ashley FET2000 amps are fantastic too. Seen one accidentally dropped down a LONG flight of stairs. Dented up as could be...but worked perfectly!

I've never liked BGW. They don't perform as well as the two listed above. If money is an issue, the Ashleys are generally at a very good price and don't compromise quality.

Watch out for the Ashleys! As a speaker reconer...they are great for business...their mode of failure either oscillates and wipes out the tweeters or they go "DC" and smoke the woofers (I've seen, many, many results of this). I also think the Ashleys sound poor too.

QSC is the best bang for the buck in the theatre industry. The MXa amps are my favs.
