Basically, someone's gotta start it. What you have to do is go into the room and "turn on entrance alerts" so the system will make a noise when someone else checks in. This allows you to surf while remaining in the chat room. From that point on a chat has been started, other people typically will wander in "to see if anyone's in there" and it starts getting going pretty good. ...but someone's gotta start it.

Currently I'm still working out a few bugs with the chat program. I hope to have it running by next week.

At the recommendation of a few members, we will start setting a day aside each week for a scheduled live chat for anyone who wants to come join in. The topic will be predecided and will be different each week.

So what date/time is best for everyone? Saturday early afternoons have been suggested. (And no I have no idea how to best suit all of our Australian friends.)

Hey, Brad...

With 601 posts, you should be a 'Jedi Master Film Handler', don't you think?

(just don't drag out your sidekick, Jar Jar)

Since I am the "moderator", the program won't bump me up until a regular user hits the next level. Currently the non-moderator with the most posts would be my sidekick Jar Jar (aka: Joe Redifer). Then it'll bump me up to his level...which is at 500 posts.

Jar Jar? I see. Therefore I must announce my retirement from posting here at Film-Tech. I know that will make many of you happy beyond words. When somebody else reaches near-500 posts, I will break into Brad's server and delete their file (Ha!). Brad will NEVER be able to advance! Ha ha ahha hahahahahhahaha! The POWER!!!!!!!!

J/K.
