So what's up with this media nonsense? I keep seeing SPLICES within the media. Has Kelmar decided to take a lesson from the labs and start splicing their leftover rolls together to save a buck? This is annoying and I see it quite frequently. Anyone else notice this, or am I the only one who is noticing this because I'm winding my pads over to the plastic Film-Guard cores?

Well, I don't personally notice this since I don't use the Kelmar pads. I use "Filcro" pads. They are a bit thinner and smoother. But they work well.Splices in a media pad is unacceptable! Perhaps some other company should make the media pads. Hmmmmm....

Bwahahahaha! I've never EVER noticed splices in my media rolls. That's unheard of....I didn't understand what that picture was at first. I'll keep an eye out for this in the future.

You'd think, but I see it all the time myself. The problem I've got is when the pads are cut narrower than the film itself. I brought that to Kelmar's attention awhile back and since then I've seen a drastic improvement in their slitting and the splices has been cut down considerably. I have never seen a splice in the Neumade/Filcro pads.

I know what it is. It's a corset from the 1850's. I'll bet it was used in "Gone With the Wind" to bind Scarlet's tush. I'll bid $2.
